"Wounded at Resaca" is an account of the Battle at Camp Creek from the perspective of a Federal soldier. Complete with maps and other historical documents, this is quite an interesting read of fighting that took place near and within the battlefield park.

From The Kennesaw Gazette dated May 1, 1887 comes an entertaining human interest story of how two sisters assisted in the reconnection of the telegraph line cut by Union mounted infantry between Resaca and Dalton on May 9, 1864.

Stalwart Resaca researcher Tony Patton found a couple of period photographs featuring the Resaca Depot during wartime and from 1886. Click the photos for larger views. The first shows the Depot with a military encampment on the right. It was taken from the heights of Fort Wayne. The second shows a group of gentlemen sitting at the Depot twenty-one years after the war.
